Begging the Question

Begging the Question

Begging the question is a logical fallacy where the conclusion of an argument is assumed in the premises. This circular reasoning does not provide valid support for the conclusion, as it essentially restates the claim without offering evidence.

For instance, saying, 'We must trust the government because it is trustworthy,' assumes the conclusion without providing justification. This fallacy can undermine the strength of an argument and mislead audiences.
