Ben Rask

Ben is an incoming freshman at the University of Virginia. He debated for BASIS Independent McLean, where he championed NCFL Nationals, Stanford, Columbia, and the UK Season Opener. He was ranked 2nd in the country for the 2025-26 season and received 11 TOC bids and 2 auto-qualifications in total, reaching elimination rounds at the Gold TOC. He is the captain of his school's team and has taught at Catalyst Debate Academy, NSD Debate Camp, NOVA Debate Camp, Circuit Skillbuilder, and coached privately. He enjoys teaching all types of debate, but specializes in fast-paced technical rounds, lay debate, and theory.
