Divija Rao

Divija Rao competed in speech and debate for four years, gaining experience in both Public Forum and World Schools Debate. In Public Forum, she was a district champion during her junior year and went on to place 5th at the NSDA National Tournament. As a senior, she earned four TOC bids, reaching quarterfinals at Emory, Blake, and UT Austin, and championed the Cavalier Round Robin. In World Schools Debate, Divija reached quarterfinals at the Tournament of Champions in both her sophomore and junior years before winning the NSDA National Tournament as a senior. In her senior year, she debated a wide range of styles, including theory, kritiks, and fast-paced technical rounds, but her greatest strength lies in traditional lay debate. Divija is excited to work with the incredible students at NDC and help them develop into confident and impactful debaters!
