Gia Patel

Gia has found a great passion for debate over the four years that she competed competitively in public forum. She was head captain of the Fairmont Preparatory Academy’s debate team and has experience working with a wide range of students, whether they’re beginners or more advanced. Gia’s success on the circuit includes earning 7 bids while reaching quarterfinals at the New York City Invitational Tournament and the Jack Howe Memorial Tournament. Individually, she was the top freshman and sophomore debater in the state of California, while being second for her junior and senior years. Within debate, Gia enjoys the intricacies of technical substance debates along with more slow paced lay rounds to develop in-depth communication skills. She can’t wait to work with students at NDC to help them develop their debate skills and increase their confidence.
