Judson Tomaiko, MA

Judson is a certified teacher who led one of the strongest middle school debate programs in Asia, coaching students to top competitive results across China. Under his leadership, his school won 14 consecutive sweepstakes titles, multiple Middle School Public Forum championships, and consistently placed at the top of major international tournaments. He expanded the program from 40 to more than 120 competitors, developing one of the largest and most successful teams in the region.

As a coach, Judson specializes in rapid skill development, evidence-driven argumentation, and preparing students to excel—even as beginners. His students have earned championship titles, reached deep elimination rounds, and built reputations for strong speeches, strategic thinking, and collaborative debating. He is excited to join Civic Debate Academy and help students strengthen their competitive edge while gaining the long-term confidence and analytical skills that debate uniquely provides.
