Nicholas Athanassiou

Nick debated for 4 years at Pittsburgh Central Catholic in PF and Policy, making semifinals of the Tournament of Champions as the first debate team from his school to attend the TOC, acquiring 8 TOC bids, and achieving a ranking of 4th in the nation for 2025-26. In the regular season, he champed the Blue Key Round Robin, made finals of Stanford and the Blake Round Robin, made semifinals of Harvard and Florida Blue Key, and reached late elimination rounds at Blake, the Glenbrooks, and HSO. He most enjoys critical and tech-substance debate, but believes that the best debaters should be able to effectively adapt to lay and flay judges.
