Quazi Ishaan

Ishaan is attending Stanford University. He competed in debate for four years, primarily in Congressional Debate and World Schools Debate as a member of Team USA. In Congress, he won the Barkley Forum, Cavalier Invitational, and Longhorn Classic, earned runner-up finishes at Glenbrooks, TFA State, UIL State, and Florida Blue Key, placed 3rd at Harvard, 4th at the Tournament of Champions, 5th at Harvard, and 6th at NSDA Nationals and the Tournament of Champions, while reaching the NSDA Nationals final round three times. As a member of Team USA, he won Greenhill, placed 3rd at EurOpen and the Stanford Invitational, and was one of five debaters selected to represent the United States at the World Schools Debate Championship.

Ishaan believes debate is ultimately a game of persuasion, both in delivery and argumentation. He encourages students to invest in film analysis, content knowledge, and developing a holistic understanding of what makes an effective debater.Outside of debate, Ishaan enjoys eating ice cream, playing FIFA, and traveling. He can't wait to work with passionate debaters this summer!
