Shoumili Tarafder

Shoumili Tarafder has debated for 3 years in public form for The Blake School, serving as captain her senior year. During her career, she has amassed 8 bids and qualified to the Tournament of Champions 3 years in a row (GTOC 2x), has ranked as high as top 20 in the nation, and top 5 in Minnesota. Some of her most notable achievements include earning 2nd place at the 2026 MDTA State tournament, winning the 2026 MDTA Section 6 tournament, and advancing to outrounds at various national circuit tournaments like Glenbrooks, Apple Valley, Yale, Sunvite, Blake, and more. She specializes in narrative-style debate, traditional fast paced technical rounds, and back-half strategies. Outside of debate, she enjoys reading and listening to live music with friends. She is super excited to be working with the talented debaters at NDC!
