Sophia Xiong

Sophia debated for Northwood High School and NDC and is now pursuing a degree in Political Science at the George Washington University. During her two years on the national circuit, she qualified to the Tournament of Champions twice and amassed four bids. She also debated locally and qualified to the CHSSA State Championships three times. She enjoys substantive debates, especially persuasive lay rounds, but likes to engage in all forms of argumentation. She deeply valued her time with the NDC team and is excited to return as a coach, where she hopes to help students build confidence, sharpen their strategic thinking, and achieve their goals.
