Thelonious Kurland

Theo debated at College Prep for four years, two in policy and two in PF. He is an freshman at the University of Chicago, planning to major in political science and economics. He qualified to the Gold TOC twice in PF and reached peak rank #2 in the nation. Over his career, he accumulated 11 bids, and won tournaments including Cal, Jack Howe and Peach State, finaled Golden Desert, semied Grapevine, reached outrounds of Glenbrooks and Emory, also recieving numerous speaker awards. He is most comfortable in tech substance and lay debates, particularly as a first speaker, but he also has experience with kritikal and philosophical literature. He especially loves politics contentions, Kant, and the security kritik. Theo is very excited to be coaching at NDC this year and can’t wait to meet you!
